Firsttime blooming hop flower

I started hop cultivation for green curtains 3 years ago.

And it bloomed for the first time this year.

A scent of young grass and a slight citrus.

I harvested it and ate it with tempura.

The taste is ...bitter.

Fukui City Noryo Marche

From July 8th to 14th, “Fukui City Noryo Marche”

will be held in the event space on the first basement floor

of the main building of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.

Kinfuku watermelon developed by Fukui city,

Blooming artichoke flowers

The buds that could not be harvested last month have blossomed.

The size of this flower is about 20 cm,

and its purple color is beautiful.

I attended a chef dinner.

In Fukui’s traditional French restaurant “Le Diamant Rose”,  there was a dinner party for chef Miyazaki.

I enjoyed special cuisine and wine.

Cooking researcher Ms. Shimizu and her friends gathered in Watom Enjoyed a home party.

I participated in the event of ” Japanese restaurant Ichirin ” Hashimoto chef .

An event was held to make rice balls with Fukui-made rice “Ichihomare”.

Many parents and children enjoyed.

We introduced many vegetables of WaTom LLC.

The 6th Youth Dream Bus Tour Fukui Edition

The chefs in Ishikawa prefecture came to WaTom.

They observed the vegetables we are cultivating and asked various questions.

We had a welcome party after the farm tour. The chefs had a good time while tasting the vegetables of WaTom.

The award ceremony of Gault & Millau japan 2017 was held on December 4th.

We participated in the publishing party of Gault&Millau 2018 in Tokyo as our customer Mr. Sakashita chef “Les queues” got the “Innovation prize”.
